Dr. Nicholas Genes of Blogborygmi interviewed me for Medscape Pre-Rounds because I hosted the GR last week. And the interview now is already up and running at Medscape’s site.
Here’s a snippet of the interview:
Contemplating Healthcare in the Philippines
Posted 11/27/2007
Nicholas Genes, MD, PhDTess Termulo is a young, idealistic physician in the Philippines. She may be coming to the United States soon, but she’s already on the Web, chronicling her decisions and thoughts on medicine at Prudence, MD. A common theme in her work is remembering that doctors and patients are people first. I recently had the chance to learn more about the person behind “Prudence.”
Dr. Genes: How did you choose the pen name Prudence?
Dr. Termulo: Prudence is a pseudonym I started using when I joined high school essay contests, and I’ve been using it since then — in my journals, on a Web site I made before there were blogs, and, of course, I use the name when I’m posting and commenting on blogs. It’s from the name of the main character in the movie Stroke of Midnight, a modern Cinderella story. I remember being so fond of that movie that I used the name Prudence, and I’ve been using it every since as a pseudonym.

Now, ain’t that nice? That already made me look forward to participating (and possibly hosting again) more GRs in the future!
