There were many issues raised of late regarding the blog I posted about Jowee Ann Marquez and her recent foolishness. So, I’ve decided to answer all of it in this blog post, rather than rant endlessly about it in my shoutbox, as these fellows have done. They did not even have the courtesy of leaving their real names and contact details in the comments section of my entry so I could have at least thanked them individually for contributing to the chaotic life that the blog entry has taken in itself. Are you afraid of being identified?
First of all, I never did say that I worked for ABS-CBN or that I know the facts regarding this case. Did you really read the blog? I am a simple doctor who happened to read through abscbnnews.com’s article about it and vented my opinion in my blog. Why? Isn’t that allowed already? Do I not have the freedom to express my thoughts on what I have read and heard whereas you fellows have all the right to attack my person as if you know me? Remember, fellas, this is MY BLOG. MY DOMAIN. MY RULES. If you are that much of warfreaks then build your own blogs and vent all your hatred in it. I won’t stop you.
I never did call Jowee stupid or dumb. But rather, I labeled her foolish act of taking a non-BFAD approved slimming pill with unknown ingredients and blaming the government for non-regulation of those as idiocy. Do I attack her as a person? No. I attack her foolish act. In the first place, why did she even buy the product if she knew that the credibility and safety of it is not ascertained? Pills being bought in a “popular” store cannot be reason enough for anyone to trust the drug. Isn’t it common sense not to take a drug that is not prescribed by a physician or at least, sold in a legal drugstore? She just did the opposite. And that is foolishness. I even commended the bravery she did admitting this act on national TV. See? Did I do her wrong there? She exposed herself. I did not call her an idiot for everyone to hear. You fellas, came here, and read it. And you got offended? Please…
About the phentermine being not the cause of her “illness”, if the tests said that it was sibutramine or amphetamine or fenfluramine, then so be it. You should contact abscbnnews.com and tell them that what they said in their article was wrong. If you would return to my post, I’ve provided the link there. But all the other data I’ve provided about phentermine are true. I provided the link of the monograph I used as reference. See? I’m even good with my writing because I cite my sources. You don’t.
So, for those claiming to know the “true facts” and wanted to give me endless lectures about it, thank you very much, though the data you provided are not really verifiable. At least, out of courtesy, you should identify yourselves. Someone even told me the dosing regimen Jowee used, as if she really knew her and her routines that even the schedule of her medications she knew. But then, she also claimed that she doesn’t really know her but rather just “see her around Ateneo”. Hello?! Isn’t that a contradiction in itself already? That you give intimate details about a person and yet claim that you don’t personally know her? Please!
Before commenting on my blog or any other blog, please do read the entry carefully so as not to make fools out of yourselves. The dedication to “correct” my views is admirable. But the means does not justify the end
Postscript: And anyway, who are you to be so offended by my views? Lots of bloggers call their presidents idiot in their blogs and nobody blows a fuse about it. And here I am calling a daughter of an actor an idiot and some people fussed so much about it?
