I’ve made a post in January regarding certain buses who have made the sidewalk along Paso de Blas their temporary terminal, or where they await and load passengers.  This is wrong, dangerous practice as it deprives the pedestrians the use of the sidewalk, and, at the same time, increasing the risk of reckless bus drivers hitting pedestrians as they maneuver their heavy buses ON the sidewalk.  Add to that the mere possibility of buses getting out of balance, as the sidewalks are inclined.

And well, it seems that the buses are still ON the sidewalk up to the very present.

See the photos I took of those inconsiderate bus drivers:

You’d have to notice that the bus was parked in such a way that as a pedestrian, either you squeeze your way through the space they’ve left for you to pass through or to actually go around the bus by walking in the middle of the road!  I’ve already called the attention of the bus driver and the barker, but both retorted that they’re simply “doing their job”.  Oh please!  I ain’t gonna buy that “nagtratrabaho-lang-kami-kawawa-naman-kami” argument.  The law applies to both the rich and the poor.

Now that I’ve got Mayor Win’s email address, I’m definitely going to let someone know what I think about this.  I just hope that something could be done soon.

geesh I hate that reply. Good you’re going to do something about it . One thing I hate is when people just accept their fate. Reminds me of that stolen cable in our electric lines. I am the only one complaining but who else will do it?

Those cretins will never learn, so it’s time for a more direct approch: have all those buses impounded and immediately crushed… with the drivers inside!!!

Yup, I’ve heard that “naghahanapbuhay-lang-kami” argument many times before, from tricycle drivers who ran over our car which was stand still because of heavy traffic to garbage collectors who park their trucks in the middle of the small road in our subdivision.

I heard Mayor Win of Valenzuela is a good mayor. I hope he will be able to do something about it. And I do hope he read his emails.
