Most of those who know me as a blogger are wondering why I still keep a written journal when I could already post my thoughts online. Isn’t it a waste of time to be repeating what you’ve posted online by writing it in a journal? Isn’t it a bit old-fashioned, especially in this Age of Blogging?
My answer to that will be: Who says I put the same stuff from my blog in my journal?
Like I’ve said to some people, there certainly are things that are UNBLOGGABLE. Those are the stuff that I keep in my old-fashioned journal. ![]()

This concept is truly on the old fashioned side….but I can understand the writing in a journal. It’s a great idea for the theme.

Real old fashioned way of penning thoughts. But like what you’ve mentioned which is true. There are always those secrets that are only intended for yourself. Keep it up

Love your journal, Prudence, I think you wrote a post about having journals before. I don’t keep journals anymore, too busy to write but if I can, I would. Your handwriting is too neat for a doctor, lol!
Have a great weekend!

We totally agree! There are many things that one might write in a personal journal, but not online in a blog. Great choice for old fashioned!

You have a very pretty handwriting
I agree with you, not everything can be shared with the world. And a journal has an advantage there, even though it is rather old-fashioned. Hehe.

A communicator? The Nokia Communicator? Yup, that would be neat. And pretty handy too.

I think for taking notes during a lecture, writing it by hand still has an advantage, as you can easily draw and make arrows as necessary, which is quite difficult with the ordinary laptop. Unless, of course you’ve got a tablet PC.
Still I love my journal. It’s my vault

Thanks! I always keep in mind that I have to write legibly so that the pharmacist in the drugstore can read what I’m prescribing. hehehe.

I rarely am away from the computer. But what actually gives me the feeling of satisfaction is whenever I hold this journal, turning the pages, I feel the weight of how much I’ve written there. It’s as if thoughts do have weight!

Hey! My old-fashioned photo is about journaling too! People seem to think you’re crazy if you write in pixels AND in ink.

that’s very old school and you have a pretty good point there. although, we can always blog and choose the unpublish mode and create a secret blog we aren’t so sure how secret that blog is.
