UPDATE2: There! I’ve got the correct picture already! I must be getting old hahaha.
UPDATE: Oooooppppssss! I posted the old picture. Please stand by for the new one. Hehe. Memory lapses. :-p
This is the first, and much-awaited blogger event for the new year, 2008, as it was originally scheduled to be held last December 13. It would have been a big christmas party for the bloggers. But then, now, because it was moved back, it has become a BIGGER blogger event, since there would be 150 bloggers attending the event this time, which is 50 more food monsters as to what was supposed to be just a hundred last time.
So, thanks to Jonas for sharing this event with us. Also, thanks to Jehz for providing the adequate term for the attendees of this event, hehe.
See y’all there, people!
Postscript: Hmmm…there seems to be a controversy regarding the “inclusion” of Multiply bloggers in the food tour? What’s the problem with that? Hmmm. Is this going to be another blog controversy? The first one for the year? Almost always, blog events are preceded by a controversy. Haha. :-p Well, let’s just have fun, shall we? But then, what happens after the event, or what issues will be raised after is yet to be seen.

I’m okay with multiply bloggers as long as they regularly update their blogs.

Yup, I agree with Ms. Dementia.
Personally though, I think those who have been keeping their blogs for quite a long time now and those who have their own domains should’ve been prioritized.
I don’t have any problems with ‘young’ or ‘late’ bloggers (regardless of whichever is hosting them). I just think that there are those guys who deserved the slots more because of their longer commitment to blogging.
Anyway, I’m very happy and thankful that I got for I’m excited to see everybody again. See you there Ms. Tess. ^^,)

Well, I don’t think we should even question the inclusion of Multiply bloggers who aren’t actively blogging. If I remember correctly, there wasn’t a requirement that said bloggers have to be actively blogging to be able to join this event. Also, even if there is, how do we define active blogging? For me, it might be blogging every day of the week, while for another, it might be blogging once every week. Honestly, I don’t have a problem if there are Multiply bloggers in the food tour. Actually, these are new people to meet so I should just be excited
But I also feel sorry for those who weren’t able to make it to the list because of limited slots. But then, there’ll be other blog events. I heard there’s PBA ‘08. And, of course, the iBlogs. There’ll be plenty of other blogger meetups for sure.
Hey, by the way, will you be coming to the food tour tomorrow?

to Lalon:
Hmmm, I guess you have a point but, for now, we really can’t do anything about it. If active bloggers are to be prioritized, then Trinoma, Ayala, and Yehey should have specified that only active bloggers will be included, how actively blogging, where their blogs are hosted, etcetera. But there are none

who said multiply users can’t join? If the organizers think so, I kind of understand. They want viral marketing. If it’s those who are non-multiply accounts but with “active” blogs and unable to join, then too bad, first come first serve was the rule. The organizers should have been more clear. And this is a lesson to future invites. Set the rules.

Then, I guess, nobody should really question why there are Multiply users, even if they’re not actively blogging, because the event is a free-for-all-bloggers event. Nobody’s raising hell about this yet, but there are few talks. Hopefully, it won’t get blown out of proportion. Let’s just enjoy the Food Tour!

Hopefully, it won’t get blown out of proportion.
Then maybe you shouldn’t have blogged about it in the first place.

argh. i found free time today, but since it’s soooo last minute, i doubt if they’ll send the email to let me in.
(i’ll admit that i’ve a bias against social network blogs, but hey, live and let live, i suppose. from a marketing and advertising perspective, however, i think trinoma just might not get as much reach with the inclusion of multiply blogs — noemi’s earlier point on viral marketing. she’s right, too, though: rules are rules, and they’re best laid down early on.)
i hope you guys have fun… i’m once again envious.

I always wanted to attend a blogger event, but I never had the chance to attend one. I want to see the bloggers that I know. Maybe, in the near future, I would be given the chance. Lol.
