Earthquakes and Twitterpeople (updated)

Yup, there’s an earthquake today at around 12:27 p.m. I’m currently in Bulacan, and when the earthquake occurred, I was inside my room on my bed, reviewing some stuff. There was a bit of shaking but then, I thought it was only because of a moving crane in a nearby warehouse. Only when I received a twit that I finally knew that it was an earthquake.

Details of the earthquake below:

Bloggers are weird. They’re still twitting even when there’s an earthquake already.

The best twit I’d say is that one by fireyedboy: EARTHQUAKE! QUICK GET UNDER A DESK! (I will after I finish this tweet hahah). Yes, twits are more important to us than our lives. Haha!

I hope my fellow twitterpeople didn’t mind me taking a screen capture of their twits. Oh well, what can they do? I’ve already posted it. Hahaha.

And what’s even weirder is how bloggers respond to a phenomenon like an earthquake. Can you guess it? Yes, they blog about it!

UPDATE -  And so it seems that a lot of bloggers have already blogged about their earthquake experience:

How about you?  Did you feel the earthquake?

  2. I think I was the second to blog about it, according to Technorati. Hehehe.

  3. to Jon Limjap:

Medyo lang naman. Hahah. Just shows the passion bloggers have for anything and everything that’s happening around them and, of course, for blogging. And yeah, for twits too :-)

  4. to Eugene:

Good for you. I think AJ was the first one to have blogged about it in his LJ.

  6. Wrong Timing kase ang earthquake, just when I finished posting my “short break” entry on my Bakla Ako blog, the quake happened! SO I had no choice but to post an entry on LJ! hahah!

  9. to Baklang AJ:

That’s means don’t go on a blog break. Hehe. :-p

  10. to Eli:

That’s because Norzagaray is too far from the epicenter so, probably they only felt a little shake. It was also like that here in Meycauayan, lasting only for 5 seconds or even less. The tremors perhaps only aggravated by the fact that there’s a moving crane in a warehouse near my house, so I didn’t think it was an earthquake at first. Only the twits told me that it was indeed an earthquake.

  11. I have to eh. I’m not sure if there’s Internet conncetion where I’m going so just to be safe, blog break. kahit short. :)
