I’ve recently answered a dNeero Survey about Twitter. Since I’ve been using Twitter for quite a while, it’s been fun answering the questions. It made me think why I’ve been using Twitter all this time. Haha. As if I still need to ponder on that.

In your own words, what exactly is Twitter?
Twitter is, I think, the new alternative to instant messaging/chat programs. Twitter’s question, “What am I doing?”, has been answered in many different ways. And it’s a reasonable way to update as many people as you could (as long as you’re following them) about what is currently happening to you.
Why would somebody use Twitter?
Twitter is useful for updating friends (your followers) about what’s current in your life. And it’s a good alternative to IM programs because it’s easier to get all of your acquaintances in a “chat area”, that is the Twittersphere, and talk to them all at the same time with just a single message. Also, twitter can send you updates in your mobile phone, which is good for those who’re always on the go.
