UPDATE:  Sorry to disappoint a lot of people…by the title, “ways of making myself happy”, I wasn’t referring to that kind of happy-fying.  Hahahahaha.

It’s been a long while since I posted a Thursday Thirteen.

And for this week, I’ve decided to write a post that can boost happiness and what’s better than listing ways of making myself happy? Maybe when readers see my list, they’ll also be inspired to make their own list :-)

So, here it goes…

1.) Having a House MD/Matrix DVD marathon for the nth time.
2.) English Breakfast Tea Latte from Coffee Bean
3.) Blogging happy thoughts
4.) Playing with kittens and laughing at how my big cat, Baba, would try to squeeze himself inside a garden pot too small for him. He might have forgotten he’s already a cat and not a kitten anymore.
5.) Watching a movie at the mall then go bookhunting at NBS, Fully Booked, or Powerbooks.
6.) Cooking spicy vegetarian pasta
7.) Reading Lord of the Rings Book III Return of the King. My favorite chapter is the “Ride of the Rohirrim”
8.) Playing around with wordpress templates (just like what I did with the template here :-) ).
9.) Bloghopping!
10.) Disturbing my barkada through group text.
11.) Playing “Fur Elise” on the piano.
12.) Writing on my journal
13.) Letting go of all the negative thoughts generated in the recent days and just staring into space thinking of the fun times I had with friends and loved ones.

Hey, how about you? What are the things you do to make yourself happy?

UPDATE (10/17/2007):  So far, so good.  I’m blogging back here now.  Please do check back here for new posts from time to time.  Will be informing you if I have to move again, though, hopefully, I won’t have to do it again.  Sigh.

Somebody’s hacking into my site, making it exceed its bandwidth limit. So, for the meantime, while fixing stuff, I’m temporarily blogging at wordpress.com. Just click here to get there.

Notes: I am reposting this because, first of all, somebody trashed my site and I just can’t get the idea out of my head that maybe someone just got too pissed by what I wrote and so took the kid-throwing-tantrums route and got a bit destructive. Also, I want to express my dismay at how some of the discussions (some are still ongoing) have turned ugly, with hateful and hurtful comments thrown to and fro. Yes, we do understand that a lot of people are affected emotionally by this issue and not everybody is telling everyone who felt offended that they shouldn’t be offended. But let’s remember that all of us are free to express our own opinions and these opinions will vary greatly from one another. And in the course of expressing such opinions, it is expected that one will claim one thing as right while the other is wrong. It is perfectly understandable and acceptable. But what we don’t have the right to, perhaps, is to forcibly take away that person’s right to say what he thinks is right or wrong for him or to mob that person just because he doesn’t share the view of the “majority”. So, for those who feel that they ought to sign a petition and protest, then by all means do so. But do not condemn others for not sharing your views and for saying that they don’t think it’s necessary. It’s their opinion and they have the right to say it, as you do have the right to feel offended.
