For someone who’s got low, almost negligible, fashion sense , I still do appreciate why the Hollywood world and the noncelebs make a big deal out of Oscar Night fashion. First of all, I love looking at beautiful things and people. Who doesn’t? And even if the concept of beauty is variable from one person to the next, we still have some similarities as to what we think is pleasing to the eye. And looking at the gowns the celebs wear during the Oscars can give me ideas on what dresses to buy in the future (not the Hollywood version of those dresses, of course! I can’t afford them!).
So here are some fashions that caught my eye:
Rachel Weisz is a Goddess in this gown. And those wine-red lips. Sumptuous. I’d say she was the best dressed during the Oscars.
That white gown with that lovely strap over her shoulder just wrapped Beyonce’s bod in a lot of deliciously curvaceous ways. And it wasn’t like her other outfits that were a little on the adventurous side. This is classy.
I know only three celebrities who can look so glamorous in red, without looking too unnatural or slutty: Sharon Stone, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Nicole Kidman.
Now, Cate Blanchett, I think, would always be best dressed. She is also a Goddess. Just look at her photo here.
Jennifer Hudson may have been noted as one of the worst dressed during the Oscars, but, hey, winning Best Supporting Actress is not bad for a first timer in the movie industry!? Just listen to her song, “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going”, and you’ll need not wonder how and why she won the award.
