Thirteen Adorable Things About My Cats, Baba and Bait
1. Baba doesn’t like having his tail touched…2. …but he likes having his chin rubbed

3. Bait is ever keen about the time I go out and get back home. Sometimes he even waits for me at the gate.4. Baba thinks a heap of dirty laundry is a king-sized cat bed.

5. Bait often go to my bedroom window and purr…sometimes incessantly.

6. They can do acrobatic stances.

7. They fight during mealtimes…

8. …but sleep together after, as if they never fought.

9. Their greatest fear: Orange, the neighbor’s kitty (not his real name. Anyway, I don’t know what his name is). Second greatest fear: All other neighborhood cats.
They are a couple of helpless kitties who can’t defend themselves against invading cats but I love them still.

10. Baba likes being on top of things.

11. Whenever Bait sees me, he lies down on his back, as if asking me to scratch his belly. When I do, he’ll rub his head on the ground repeatedly.

12. If I ignored him during his I’m-on-my-back-scratch-me routine and continue walking away, he’ll follow me wherever I go until I stop and finally scratch his belly or head.

13. Baba is just so snobbishly cute.

I’m currently hooked on watching Rockstar:Supernova. Maybe just like American Idol but different, at the same time. This show is just full of energy because it’s a rock show! It really awakened the slumbering rocker in me. I haven’t seen the start of the series but I’m already excited at how it will turn out. Can’t wait for the next episode. Here are two of my favorite rockers:

DILANA

A tattooed and, more importantly, tremendously talented singer and songwriter, Dilana counts Tina Turner as one of her musical idols. And it’s easy to see why. Just as Tina carried the gusto and appeal of the big boys, so does Dilana, a thoughtful and direct woman who immediately communicates serious rocker cred.

Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, Dilana began her singing career early, finding her way on stage in front of her first audience at the age of 7. From then on she was music obsessed, leaving school at 16 to sing in a traveling duo and soon performed in different bands. She moved to the Netherlands to further herself and start her own band. A wise decision-Dilana’s band became one of the country’s most sought after groups. From there she only went up, recording her debut album “Wonderfool”, which garnered five singles, four music videos and loads of touring and festival gigs (over 200!).

Pretty, driven Dilana now lives in the United States where she’s enjoying success as a solo act with surely more hits to follow. And we’ll follow her. Honestly, Dilana has the power to make us follow her anywhere (www.supernovafans.com)

— Goodness! This girl can really rock! Her version of the Cranberries’ “Zombie” is just awesome!

STORM LARGE

How do fans love Storm? Let them count both the ways and the lanky inches, for there are many, many of them. But her height is certainly not the only quality that makes Storm Large so memorable. Even if she wasn’t six feet tall, you’d still feel like a midget standing next to her-so enormous is her talent.

In her popular revue in a little club in Portland, Oregon, Storm and her band The Balls have collected a devoted following of fans who not only witness one gorgeous, sexy, fearless babe with balls-to-the-wall, tear-the-house-down vocal chops, but an oftentimes ingenious stage performer. You’re never bored when Storm’s in the house.

Not surprisingly, Storm (born with the fateful name Storm Susan Large) was a rebellious kid who truly discovered herself through singing. In 1989, she earned her associates degree in performance at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City and soon moved on to San Francisco where she started her band, Flower SF. Other bands would follow and disband leading her to Portland where her lounge core act has offered gigs and tours galore, as well as making Storm a local legend. To paraphrase The Scorpions, Storm really does rocketh like a hurricane. (www.supernovafans.com)

— There’s that’s really rocker ring in her name: Storm Large. I like the way she looks, not totally evil but really catty. There was a comment, though, in one of her performances, that she performed like someone in the musical Cats. But in her recent performance, she really showed how much of a rock girl she can be. I’m really looking forward to more of her performances.

I remember falling asleep at around 12 midnight. I know there was just this void and I’m floating, suspended in space, out of time and in no definite space. I’ve been retracing my path towards Morpheus’ Palace, his world of dreams. But I just couldn’t find it. Not sight of its grand iron, intricate gate. Damn. And so, I find myself back in the real world at 4 am.

And now I blog, unusually awake at this time of the day.
