‘Wawa naman si Love…from duty na pero wala pang reliever…

Waiting for him to finish his rounds…

Smile ng from duty…Sige na nga, Love, we’ll have some chow so you could rest na…

Just snuggling…(background music: Michael Buble’s Caught In the Act CD)

I think I started the new year 2006 with a bang. Hehe.

I was on duty at St. Paul’s Hospital in Bocaue, Bulacan last January 1st. Good thing that I scheduled my duty on that day instead of the 31st of December. Lots of firecracker injuries then. One with an amputated forefinger and another with second and third-degree burns on 45% of his body surface. Ugh. At least, the only difficult cases I’d dealt with last Sunday were an Indian guy drunk enough to get on a fist fight with a 1-inch thick window glass (as was told by the relative) and sustained a horrible semi-circular lacerated wound on the right forearm, measuring 8 centimeters, and an Indian boy, who knew no word of Filipino or English, suffering from acute appendicitis. Hmmm…two Indian patients in one day and they even knew each other. Indian holiday or something?

Then, just minutes before my off-duty last Monday, patients came pouring down the emergency room. I even have to extend my hours because I still have to admit a rather difficult case of acute pneumonia in an elderly diabetic and hypertensive. Ugh. But that was okay. After that, I took my basic pay and went off to Globe Hub center in SM Marilao to get my new phone: a Motorola E1 ROKR.

(Now something’s funny going on in here at blogger. Images keep appearing on top instead where I wanted it inserted… so just look at the pic above for reference…)

Finally!

It’s a nice phone, and for a good value (I got it with only a cash-out of P2,500 at G-Plan 800), though it did not really merit great reviews. But I’ve been using the phone for a day now and I think it’s quite all right. It’s almost an iPod: it’s installed with iTunes but with only a capacity of up to 50 songs due to the 256MB memory card installed. But that’s good enough for me. Fifty songs would be enough to help me while away time in a coffee shop or in the car. Picture resolution isn’t that great as compared to phones with 1.3 megapixel cameras. But good enough for me who just takes pictures for the sake of posting it on my blog or just keeping pics in my phone. But, hell, the sound is just so great! You can feel the steady thumping of bass, if you choose to listen to the music via the stereo speakers on the phone. It really was worth it.

And, for those of you who know me well, you guessed right. First picture I took using my camera phone was that of my kitty, Sungit. Hehe.

Sigh. Have to sleep early tonight. Be meeting with my Love tomorrow lunch time. I miss him so much! I’m already excited to take pictures of him and us using my phone. Hehehe.
