And I have seen Jinggoy Estrada reiterate his statements on TV news. He really made me smile…what can I say? “Bato-bato sa langit, ang tamaan huwag magagalit!”
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA…
That is to all our public officials who were once actors/actresses/basketball players/celebrities. Please do realize that, though the law does not require that anyone who holds a public office to have a specific bachelor’s degree or a Ph.D., it seems reasonable and common sense to think that if one dabbles with government policies, one should at least be knowledgeable in Philippine Laws. I don’t think they teach that in acting workshops or TV studios. Haha.
There is another funny part in this article.
?Although we in the movie and entertainment industries do not declare to possess higher qualifications than other professionals, we are not less qualified than the others,? Estrada said.
Then he proceeded to allude to the pathetic acting skills of Mikey Arroyo, who also tried his luck in movies. It sounded like the pot calling the kettle black.
It is sad, though, that many of our lawmakers came from the entertainment/sports industry who do not have any idea of what they are doing, besides the fact that they were placed there by the extreme popularity they have with the Filipino masses. And now the future of the health and education sector is in their hands and DepEd and DOH have to kiss their asses just to get the appropriate budgets for their respective departments.
Sad. Very sad. But ironically funny at the same time.
Perhaps Jinggoy may still have a shot at the movies. In comedy movies, that is.
